3. Collection of personal data when using the app

Personal data of users is only collected and used to the extent necessary to provide a functional app and our content and services. Every use of our app and every retrieval of a file stored in the app is logged.
The following are logged:

for iOS devices: the encrypted Apple ID for the login process
for Android devices: the Google email address for the login process

Accesses are logged for reasons of data security and to ensure the stability and operational security of our system and to protect it against possible external attacks. In addition, the data is statistically evaluated to optimize the service. The logged data does not allow us to trace which content you have accessed or which files you have retrieved.
The collection of data is necessary to ensure the operation of the app. Personal data is not merged with other data sources.
Non-personal data (such as the type of device used, date and time of access) is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected. The collection and storage of login data for the provision of the app is essential for the operation of the service, so users have no option to object.

5. Sharing content on social media

You can share, comment on, and recommend the content of this app via social networks. This works exclusively via the operating system's own sharing services, which allow you to post content directly to the networks. To use the sharing functions, you must be logged in to a network and connect to the network from within the app. This may result in the network receiving usage data such as your current IP address. We do not receive any further data and, in particular, we do not have access to your data on Facebook, Twitter, or WhatsApp. We only offer this option so that you can share content.
For more detailed information on the type, purpose, and scope of the further use of your data by social networks, please refer to the individual privacy policies of the respective networks.

6. Use of cookies

We use cookies to provide the app. Cookies are small text files that are temporarily stored on the user's device when the app is accessed.

6.1 Statistics cookies

In order to make our app more attractive and user-friendly, we use cookies that enable statistical analysis of user behavior. This allows us to store and transmit search terms entered, the frequency of visits, and the use of functions. However, this is done anonymously, as the data collected in this way is anonymized by technical measures. It is not possible to assign the data to the users who accessed the app.
To determine the data, we use the following standardized procedures to enable the measurement of access numbers:

Google Analytics for Firebase
(https://firebase.google.com/)

The collected data helps us to better understand the use of the app and to improve our offering. All IP addresses are stored in anonymized form only. Therefore, the data obtained in this way cannot be used to personally identify users.

Firebase Analytics uses an advertising ID. You can restrict this use in the device settings of your mobile device.

For Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID
For iOS: Settings > Privacy > Advertising > No ad tracking
