Event

The 250th birthday of the multi-talented late romantic Hoffmann (24.1.1776 - 25.6.1822) is a good occasion to reflect on his life and work and to look for references to Goethe. Even though Hoffmann wrote very differently, he knew his Goethe well and often referred to him - even parodically. Last but not least, both were wine lovers. In old age, however, Goethe criticized Hoffmann severely.
