Whether newly in love, intimately familiar or almost separated again: a duet can turn different phases of a relationship into dance and is often a choreographic highlight. What would "Romeo and Juliet" be without an intimate pas de deux between the lovers? Would "Carmen" even be conceivable without a fiery duet? It is high time to dedicate an entire evening to the 'dance for two'.
Step for Two" is not just about love, but about relationships and relationships in a broader sense, encounters between people and with one's own unknown side, which are expressed choreographically in "Step for Two". Alekseij Canepa - well known to Ulm audiences as a member of the 2020-2024 theater dance company - and Constantin Trommlitz, who combines breakdance with contemporary stage dance, as well as dance theater director Annett Göhre create several short pieces that offer versatility and surprise. There are no limits to the choice of theme.
Don't be surprised if you feel like dancing your way home together afterwards.
