Maria Rosendorfsky (mostly soprano) and J. Emanuel Pichler (almost always a baritone) move with verve and tender conquest from song to aria through the highs and lows of a love-struck and yet hopeless couple. Through the most delightful misunderstandings and the most desolate declarations of love, they wander around the garden of love they nevertheless share, only to be caught again by their only unifying constant in this whimsical maelstrom of passions: Giovanni Piana on the pianoforte.
