Event

The vibraphone, with pedal and vibrating motor, produces warm, lyrical to spooky sounds and was discovered early on for film scenes. The WKO dedicates its 10th subscription concert to the "underdog" and, with vibraphonist Pascal Schumacher, presents the German premiere of a work written for him by Judd Greenstein, whose music combines tension and tranquillity. The program is complemented by an overture by Louise Farrenc and Brahms' sonorous 2nd Symphony.
