The students agree that tyranny and dictatorships don't stand a chance in our country. We are too firmly in the saddle in our democracy for that, they believe. A repeat of the Nazi regime therefore seems completely out of the question.

Not quite, says a young teacher who wants to convince his class of the opposite with an experiment. From now on, the principles of discipline and obedience find their way into the classroom. With enthusiasm and the conviction of feeling like a community for the first time, the young people champion the new ideals, even at the cost of excluding those who are not eager to join the movement.

This season, the Bürgerbühne 10-15 is exploring the play "The Wave" with the desire to push their own boundaries and playfully explore extremes. The young actors take a creative approach to the controversial subject matter and transport the story and characters into the present day.
