Marlo Grosshardt is an artist with attitude. His often political, sometimes provocative lyrics are embedded in energetic, driving pop songs that musically oscillate between singer-songwriter, Balkan beats and calm ballads. With his powerful voice, the 24-year-old Hamburg native sings vividly about the burning issues of our time: refugees drowning in the sea, danger from the right, a dystopian future - but he also knows how to talk about love and "courage" (the title of his second album). Marlo Grosshardt is a mouthpiece for many of his generation - and an impressive artist whose themes and melodies continue to resonate long after the concert.
