What was your favorite opera in the current season? Which theater production moved you the most? Which dance production left the biggest impression? With the Ulm Theatre Prize, you can use your voice to honor special achievements by members of the theater alongside the applause you give them night after night in the auditorium.

A jury consisting of representatives of the Friends of the Theater and the SWP cultural editorial team will select three productions each in the main auditorium and the podium. You will then be spoiled for choice: vote online on the Südwest Presse portal or at the theater on the voting cards on display. At the award ceremony, not only our artists will be among the winners, but also you, as we will be giving away attractive prizes to all participants.


The prize categories:

Ensembles: drama, dance, musical theater
The jury nominates three outstanding ensemble members in each category. The winners are announced at the award ceremony and each receives prize money donated by the Association of Friends and Sponsors of the Ulm Theatre and the Südwest Presse.

Plays: Best production
The jury will make a pre-selection of three productions each in the main auditorium and the podium from the current season. You choose your favorite from these. The prize for the best production is not endowed.

Young Talent Award
Theater Ulm awards an in-house prize for the best young talent from our team. This prize is also endowed with prize money.

Honorary Award:
With this unendowed award, we honor ensemble members and employees who have shaped the work of the stage over many years.
