A family in Ecuador looks back proudly on their German ancestor, the naturalist Theodor Wolf. 100 years after his death, it comes to light that Wolf never mentioned his children in Ecuador in Germany. The blank spot in the family history raises questions and shakes the identity of the descendants. Wolf's great-great-grandson, filmmaker Darío Aguirre, sets off in search of clues. What appears to begin as an homage develops into an examination of colonial heritage and memory.
