On this evening, nothing goes as it should. Franco Berlotti is an ageing DJ who tours the villages with his
cobbled-together equipment and DJs at club parties, birthday parties and company
birthdays and company anniversaries. A lot of work, little bread and butter and even less glamor.
But that doesn't stop him from calling himself the happiest "Italo-Swabian" ever.
ever.
When Franco kicks off that evening at a 60th birthday party, the mood is great at first.
but then Franco's PA suddenly cuts out and the music stops. So he starts to tell the story...

During an evening full of songs and nostalgia, Italian food, soccer and religion and, of course
a phone call with mom, Franco reviews his life, sings and tells himself
the sorrows and joys of life from his body, leaving out no cliché and yet
and yet reduces them all to absurdity.

For DJ Franco, it is an evening that sweeps over him like a force of nature, a
a confession of life and a reckoning with everything and above all with himself. In the end, Franco is
and so are all his guests. When his system finally works again
and he plays the first and last song of the evening, you can't help but love him and celebrate life with him.
