Storm the castle 2026 - Day 5
Organiser Kulturabteilung Stadt Ulm:
Raja & Herr Sonntag await us on Thursday. They move between German-language indie pop and dreamy honesty. Their songs tell of hesitation and doubt, of the courage to show oneself and of what often remains unspoken. Live, they bring this mixture of intimacy and clarity to the stage - between tongue-in-cheek and seriousness, they create a sound that is moving and memorable.

PAULINKO round off the day. Anna Pauline Kohn (vocals) and Lisa-Marie Bruynen (drums) are fed up with TYpen who want to tell you how it's done. PAULINKO are the mouthpiece of a generation of women who simply live female empowerment and don't give a damn about conventions. Their sound brings Neue Deutsche Welle into the new millennium: Nena, DAF and the Humpe sisters, mixed with a pinch of electro - thematically in the here and now.
Thu, 30.07.2026 | 20:30-21:30, German pop / New German Wave.

Open Tower 2.0 - art, creativity and exchange
This year, the Kehlturm is once again part of the festival: the open cultural space for creative projects is entering its second round in the Open Tower format. Following the successful first test phase, the concept will be further developed this year and this time will even be brought to life over a longer period of time.
Visitors can expect a diverse mix of interactive installations, exhibitions, open studios, Ulm craftsmanship and scientific formats. Some projects specifically invite active participation - from collaborative design to experimental formats at the interface of art, culture, technology, science and society.
The tower thus becomes a lively place for exchange and encounters that constantly opens up new perspectives. Those who make it to the top are rewarded with a roof terrace with a rooftop bar and a wonderful view over the whole of Ulm.
We would like to thank our sponsors, the GOLD OCHSEN brewery, the Albgärtle organic food store, café and delivery service and our patron hotel, the MARITIM HOTEL ULM.
