Reykjavík-born singer-songwriter Thorsteinn Einarsson can already look back on some impressive highlights in his still-young career: The 27-year-old has three Top 10 albums released in Austria, an Austrian Amadeus Music Award, over 20 million streams, and concerts both at home and abroad to his credit.

When he participated in the Austrian talent show “Die große Chance” at the age of 18, made it to the finals, and gained nationwide attention, his music career took off with his debut album 1; (“one continued”). His very first single, “Leya,” became a Top 10 radio hit in Austria and earned him his first award as “Songwriter of the Year” at the Austrian Amadeus Music Awards in 2016.

In 2025, Thorsteinn Einarsson not only celebrated his 10th anniversary on stage but also marked further highlights in his career with a new album and new hit singles. His fourth studio album reached #2 on the album charts. The songs on the album, such as “Hotel Heartache,” “Somebody (like you),” and “Oh Love,” were all Top 10 radio hits and culminated in a nomination at the Austrian Amadeus Music Awards in the “Ö3 Song of the Year” category.
