And we’re charging full steam ahead through the polycrisis!
Since 2012, audiences have been able to experience Waving The Guns concerts. A lot has happened since then—in Germany, around the world, and in WTG’s music. But the enthusiasm for their live shows has remained constant, if not grown even stronger. Over the years, they’ve rarely missed an opportunity to showcase their battle-rap attitude and wordplay-driven entertainment—coupled with a fitting political stance—on a wide variety of stages. Sometimes a wolf just has to go on tour to stir things up in the pigpen.

In this universe, statements meant to be shouted along with and expressed doubts meant to be listened to go head-to-head. In one hand a sledgehammer, in the other a set of dissecting tools, and tucked into the waistband: humor and a healthy sense of self-distance—so as never to completely forget that, after all, one is simply—no more and no less—breathing creative output into the world. Never sweep culture under the rug, never put cultural creators on a pedestal that’s too high. And always keep evolving—musically and as people—without losing the necessary edge. Find new approaches, adopt new perspectives (from which one can both reflect and take aim), get a little more out of language, and in the process—PLEASE!—have all the fun one can have for oneself and with others.

This attitude, paired with a simple yet effective live production and an energetic stage presence, creates dramatically well-curated evenings of togetherness, solidarity, humor, and simply good entertainment. Because despite all the anger, exclamation points, and attitude: in the end, they’re here for your entertainment, since “fun” still has three letters: F, U, and N!
