stagnation is not a state of being, but an artistic betrayal. Anyone looking at the discography of
Mother’s Cake isn’t looking at a string of albums, but
at a constant metamorphosis, a tireless struggle for truth in sound.
After the success of “Ultra Bliss” (Embassy of Music), it would have been the easy choice
to stick with that winning formula—but that’s exactly not in the DNA
of this band.


A history written in blood and sweat. Okay, I’ll admit that’s a bit of an
exaggeration, but the path Mother’s Cake has traveled since its founding
resembles a journey through the storm. From the early days, when they worked with Ikey Owens
(The Mars Volta, Jack White) on their debut “Creation’s Finest,” all the way to
the world’s biggest stages, where they’ve played alongside legends like the
Deftones, Iggy Pop, Limp Bizkit, Alice in Chains, and Deep Purple. They’ve
rocked the Arena in Vienna, played sold-out shows in Australia, Mexico, and
South Africa, and sent audiences in India into a frenzy. This dedication has been
rewarded not only by millions of streams and global chart placements—their
songs also feature in video games, TV series, and movies. This story is
no reason to rest on their laurels, however—it is the foundation for an even more radical
new chapter.
