Well. Here I am again, sitting here and supposed to write a program description.
For a program called PUR. So… what’s it about?
Everything. Nothing. What’s left when you leave everything else
out. PUR is an evening without excuses. Without a hidden agenda.
Without the comforting feeling that this is “just for fun”—even
though, of course, that’s exactly what it is. Fun. Well, most of the time.
It’s about truth. Your own. About doubt. About contradictions. About
that constant feeling of being a pretty good person and yet, at the same time,
somehow the problem. About children, responsibility,
being overwhelmed, therapy. About politics, but only until it hurts.
And about laughter—precisely at the moment when you realize that
you really shouldn’t be laughing. Or should you?
As always, Moritz Neumeier talks about things you might
would rather keep quiet about—and yet still manages to make you
feel surprisingly comfortable. Or at least not completely alone.
And in the end, you sit there, laughing, thinking—and briefly ask yourself:
Was that funny? Or was that serious? Never mind. It was good.
