From 1933 to 1939, Bertolt Brecht and his family lived in exile in Denmark. He was able to buy a simple fisherman’s cottage near Svendborg. Today, the city of Svendborg makes the renovated house available to writers as a place to work. Tina Stroheker was also a guest there. Through her engagement with nature, conversations with former residents, and numerous texts, she created an impressive cycle of poems—a tribute to the sea, literature, and reflections on our lives.
