Children's Opening Reception for the Exhibition "Louise Stomps: Contours of the Inner Self"
Organiser Edwin Scharff Museum:
The Edwin Scharff Museum is dedicating a comprehensive solo exhibition to the sculptor and graphic artist Louise Stomps. For the first time in southern Germany, approximately 35 sculptures in plaster, stone, and wood, as well as series of graphic works spanning her entire career from the late 1920s through the 1980s, will be on display. The exhibition opens on Friday, November 13, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.
In conjunction with the official opening, the museum is hosting a children’s preview from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. for children ages 8 and up. While the adults listen to the opening remarks, the children will explore the exhibition together with two museum educators. Inspired by the sculptures of Louise Stomps, the children will then get creative themselves in the museum workshop. At 8:00 p.m., children and adults will meet again in the special exhibition.
Admission is free. Please register by email at esm-buchungen@post.neu-ulm.de by December 2.
