In her works “Fragments of a Dance of Death,” Marlis Schabacker-Bock takes up the classical theme of the dance of death. She depicts Death as a diffuse, cloud-like figure, hovering above everything, ever-present. A reminder, urging us to live and enjoy life more consciously, more intensely, and more meaningfully in the face of our mortality.
Marlis Schabacker-Bock has chosen Styrofoam as her material—a fragile material
